William Ctibor Obituary

Ctibor, William J. Jr.
William J. Ctibor Jr. peacefully passed away December 9, 2008. Born on January 14, 1916 in Winona, Minnesota, he was the eldest of seven children to William J. Ctibor Sr. and the former Grace M. Atwood. He joined the Minnesota National Guard in early 1940. He was scheduled to return home by Christmas 1941, but was detained and sent to New Guinea because of WWII. He did not return home to Minnesota until Christmas Eve 1945. He married Eileen M. Dahlgren of Minneapolis in 1946 and settled in Southern California where they raised four boys. William worked as a master pressman and started his own business (Stebor Converting Company), which eventually employed over forty people. William and his wife Eileen were expert dancers and frequently drew applause at a variety of venues. William is preceded in death by his wife and two of his sons, Gene and Tom. He is survived by two sons, Lawrence of Bethel, Alaska, William III of Gilbert, Arizona, and many loving grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He will be dearly missed.
