William Slanta

William Slanta, 88, departed this life on January 25, 2004. He was born Feb. 12, 1915 in Mingo Junction, Ohio and lived in Arizona since 1968. He was a devoted husband and a loving father. He leaves behind his wife Katherine of 53 years, his children Katherine Jacob, William and John Slanta and his 5 grandchildren Samuel and Natalie Jacob, Jennifer, Kristen and Theresa Slanta. Visitation will be held from 5pm to 8pm with a Trisagion at 7pm, Wednesday, January 28, 2004 at Saint George Eastern Orthodox Church, 4530 E. Gold Dust. Funeral Services will be held at 9:30am, Thursday, January 29, 2004 also at Saint George Eastern Orthodox Church. Interment will be at Sunland Memorial Park. Following graveside service there will be a reception at Menke Funeral Home Sun City Room, 12420 N. 103rd Ave. Arrangements by Whitney & Murphy Arcadia Funeral Home.
