Eduardo "Ed" Rito Gonzales born May 22, 1952 in Casa Grande, AZ to Amado and Trinidad Gonzalez died on June 29, 2025 in Flagstaff, AZ. Ed loved the outdoors, whether it was hunting and fishing or just walking in the forest contemplating God's creation. His family remembers his great taste in music, humor and love for well-made food. As a very young man he served honorably in the United States Army as a military policeman and then worked as a mechanic and driver for the rest of his adult life. He is predeceased by his brother, Amado; sisters, Tomasa and Ernestina; and parents, Amado and Trinidad. He is survived by his wife of 40 years, Tracy Gonzales; daughter, Erica Gonzalez-Melendez; son, Amado Gonzalez; sisters, Jenny Tarango, Kelsang Wangmo (formerly named Martina Macias), Sylvia Diaz and brother, Del Gonzalez. He was loved and will be missed. A funeral mass will be held on Saturday, July 26, 2025 at 10 a.m. at Sacred Heart Church in Phoenix, AZ. His ashes will be interred in a private service at a later date.
