She is survived by her children, Michael Del Giorgio of Los Angeles; Marty, Joe and Elizabeth Del Giorgio of Flagstaff; Jean Del Giorgio of Verde Valley; Lucy and Dolores Del Giorgio of Tucson; and Luke Del Giorgio of Bellingham, WA. She will also be remembered by her 13 grandchildren, 8 great grandchildren and her sibling Martha Reeves. She was predeceased by her parents, Frank George Spath and Josephine Mary Metz.

Mary was born in Erie, Pennsylvania in 1938; moved to Orange County, California in 1952; and graduated from Mater Dei High School in 1956.

In 1973, the family moved to Flagstaff where, in addition to raising 8 children, Mary worked for Lutheran Social Services, served on the Flagstaff Community Tree Board, volunteered for 15 years as a Foster Grandparent with Head Start, and was a longtime member of Shepherd of the Hills Lutheran Church. She especially loved the out-of-doors and reading to young children. Mary will be remembered for her kindness and generosity of spirit.
