Brett Cowan Obituary
March 10, 1958 April 9, 2024
Bakersfield Brett Cowan, 66, of Bakersfield, CA, sadly left us on April 9, 2024. He is survived by his mother, Janice King (Perky), his wife Sue, daughter Amy, son Jeffrey, daughter-in-law Dallas, grandchildren Beckam, Jasper and Eleanor & his siblings, Jeff, Mindy, Christy & John. He was preceded in death by his father, John Cowan in 1961.
Brett was born in Bakersfield, CA, and attended Highland High School & Bakersfield College. Brett worked in the oil fields in his early years, and began his career in truck driving 25 years ago. Brett retired from Coca Cola on January 5, 2024.
Brett married Sue, in 1984 and they have two children, Amy & Jeffrey. This November will mark 40 years of a beautiful marriage.
Brett enjoyed fishing, long drives, collecting fire wood, family, all sports, watching westerns and much more. He loved spending his weekends at home with a fire and his grandchildren running around, and the Lakers on.
We would like to thank the staff at Hall Ambulance, Memorial Hospital, Encompass Rehabilitation, Around the Clock and lastly, Hoffmann Hospice.
Although Brett lost his battle with cancer, we have all gained a guardian Angel. We know he is watching over and protecting us.
Funeral services are scheduled for April 24, 2024 at St. Francis church at 9:30. Reception to follow.
