Clarice Ohs Obituary

Mom went home to be with our Lord Jesus Christ last Friday.
Mom was born to George and Fern Carrington in Dexter, Iowa. She married Earl Ohs in Iowa & moved to Bakersfield in 1952. Mom gave birth to a daughter, Karen Clerico of Bakersfield & son Gregg Ohs of Pine Haven, WY. Mom worked for Western Union during WWII & ran a Child Day Care Service for 12 years here in Bakersfield. Mom was a fantastic cook, loved outings with their RV Club & vacation times at their Cabin, Needlepoint & playing cards. Most of all she was devoted to and loved her family.
Mom was preceded in death by her parents, her husband of 55 years Earl, brothers Fred, Warren & Kenneth. Survived by her daughter Karen (Bob) Clerico, son Gregg Ohs, sister Norma (Guy) Lary and brothers Curtis (Winona) Carrington & Keith (Peggy) Carrington of Iowa. 5 grandchildren, 3 great grandchildren and her nieces and nephews.
Special Memorial Service will be TODAY at 2pm at Greenlawn Chapel Northeast 3700 River Blvd. Reception will follow at 5100 Emilia Dr.
Special thanks to Hoffman Hospice & Rosewood Health Care Center for all their kindness to Mom
