My condolences & sympathy to the Chappel family. May the peace of God comfort your hearts & minds. Elder Vernon's memory will live on through everyone of us who's lives he impacted!
My flashback memory: Unity In Praise '97... he really let us youth(at the time) go forth, and I am forever grateful for his belief in our gifts & talents when ministries like gospel rap, mime, praise & liturgical dance were considered somewhat controversial in Bakersfield. He promoted these gifts to the community & gave us confidence to walk in our callings. Thank you Elder!
He will be missed greatly!
