Francisco Cordero Obituary

The Rosary will be recited for Francisco Carrillo Cordero at St. Augustine Catholic Church on Tuesday evening, January 16, 2007 at 7:00 p.m. Mass of the Christian Burial will be held at St. Augustine Catholic Church on Wednesday morning, January 17, 2007 at 10:00 a.m. Interment will follow at Arvin Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Sal Cordero, David Cordero, Robert Cordero, Steven Clouser, Joaquin Valladares and Joseph Cordero. Francisco was born January 31, 1916 in Valparalso, Zacatecas, Mexico and he passed away January 13, 2007 in Bakersfield, California. He is preceded in death by his daughter, Margaret Cordero; son, Anthony Cordero and granddaughter, Malinda Cordero. He is survived by his wife, Maria Corder; son, Jose Cordero; son and daughter-in-law, Sal and Angel Cordero; daughter, Belia Clouser; son and daughter-in-law, David and Tina Cordero; daughter and son-in-law, Mary and Danny Owen; son, Roberto Cordero; 19 grandchildren as well as numerous great grandchildren, sisters, nephews and other relatives. Francisco came to this country over 60 years ago to provide a better life for his family. He had a strong work ethic, never complaining and rarely abstaining from long, laborous workdays. A self-taught avid reader, Francisco also enjoyed music, singing, dancing and sharing humorous stories. He loved his family and faith and lived a long, full life. His family is forever grateful for all he gave. Rest in eternal peace dear father, grandfather, great grandfather and friend. He was greatly loved by all who knew him and will never be forgotten.
