Michael Howard Burns, 61, of Bakersfield, CA, passed away on May 7, 2022, in Lancaster, CA.
Michael was born on February 2, 1961 in Bakersfield, CA, to Bob and Rexie Burns. He attended local schools and graduated from Bakersfield High School in 1979. He went on to work at Pepsi Cola, Canteen of Bakersfield, Walker-Lewis Rentals, Bakersfield Carden School and Rabobank Arena.
Some of Michael's favorite things were family BBQs and holiday gatherings. He enjoyed watching sports and was an avid fan of the LA Lakers, LA Dodgers, Miami Dolphins and the LA Kings.
He leaves behind his mother, Rexie Burns, siblings Kathy (Dave) Haskins, Robert (Kristy) Burns, and Kimberly (Mark) Maxwell, nieces Jenna, Sandra and Kaitlynn and their spouses, and great-nephew Aiden. He is also survived by his son Christopher, grandson Kage and step-granddaughter Micaria, stepson Johnathan and his family, as well as many other family and friends.
He was preceded in death by his father, Bob L. Burns, his wife Sissy, his Aunt Diana and both sets of grandparents.
Michael was a teddy bear, who had a heart of gold; his last gift to others was as a tissue donor. His gentleness and kindness will be missed.
No services are scheduled. The family will hold a private memorial at a later date.

Last time I seen Mike was when he was taken by ambulance from his home on Larcus Ave. I was his neighbor. This was in May 2020. Well RIP Mike. To his family, Im sorry for your loss.

My thoughts and prayers to Mikes family and mainly Chris is son .... Although I hadn´t seen Mike in many years I remember him as a kind person mike was my brother in law for many years and always kind to me ... My favorite memory was going to the Dodger Game .... RIP Mike ....
