Patsy Hokit Obituary

PATSY ELLEN HOKIT

March 13, 1935 - March 7, 2022

Patsy Hokit (Davis) was born on March 13, 1935, in Wichita Falls, Texas to William and Bonnie Davis who have preceded her in death.

The family moved to McFarland, California when Patsy was a child, where she attended McFarland Elementary and High School. She married the love of her life Lloyd Dean Hokit on June 29, 1956, and had enjoyed nearly 50 years of marriage before he went home to be with the Lord. She spent most of her life as a homemaker, and relished being a wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. She also worked part-time at Valley Oaks Charter School, carrying on the tradition of working with students after her husband Lloyd passed away in 2006.

Patsy is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Jeffrey and Laurie Hokit of San Luis Obispo; daughter, Jennifer Hokit of Bakersfield; grandson, Nathan Hokit and his wife Nicole Hokit of Bakersfield; grandson, Maxwell Hokit of Washington D.C.; great-grandsons Nathan and Nixon Hokit of Bakersfield; brother Jim Day of Hayden, ID; as well as many other relatives and close friends.

Patsy was well respected and loved by all who knew her, and will be deeply missed. We are looking forward to seeing her again in Heaven.

Memorial services will be held at Greenlawn Memorial Park, 3700 River Blvd., on Friday, March 25th, at 10:00 a.m. Pastors Mark and Kim Roberts will officiate. A luncheon to immediately follow at Highland Knolls Mobile Estates, 4000 North Chester Avenue.

I am so very sorry to hear of the passing of Aunt Pat. I only had the pleasure of being with her a few times, but I always felt she cared and was interested in what I had to say. I have heard many lovely stories of her life. I know that she missed for now, but someday reunited with all her loved one.

So Sorry to hear of Mrs. Hokit´s passing. She and Mr. Hokit were wonderful people. Had the joy of having them as neighbors and Mr. Hokit for a teacher. Keeping you in my prayers.

I am so sorry to hear of Pat´s passing. I have many good memories of good times with her and Lloyd at the First Nazarene Church when we met in 1956 as I remember. Also many more times with her since we both lost our beloved husbands. She was a very special lady and will be missed by all who knew her. But we know where she is now and that is comforting. I wish you peace and God´s blessings.

So sorry to hear of your loss. Pat was always so kind and thoughtful, a beautiful Christian Lady. Lord please bring peace and comfort to Pat´s family and friends. Help them through this time of sorrow and sadness. Give them comfort knowing she and Lloyd are together in heaven.
