Alice was a classmate and good friend of mine at Onawa High School. I had so hoped to see her at our 50th reunion this year. She will be missed by all her classmates. We send her family and friends our most sincere sympathy. God be with you all. Alice may have departed from us, but she will not be forgotten.

I was a colleague of Alice in Play Therapy; she met monthly with our peer-supervision group in Columbia.Throughout her illness, she was upbeat and forthcoming with us. How we will miss her! The work she contributed faithfully on the Board of the Maryland/DC Play Therapy Assn. was wonderful---throughout her illness. She was a special friend, struck down by the cruelty of cancer too young.
I only hope that this message reaches family as I was abroad for her funeral.

I was a classmate of Alice and although I didn't know her really well had hoped to see her at our 50th class reunion in June. Her dad ran the Coast to Coast store in our hometown of Onawa, Ia. My thoughts and prayers are with her family and all who called her friend and colleague. Beverly South Risdal

So sorry to hear of Alice's passing. As a member of our Class of Onawa High School 1960 we are planning our 50th reunion in June. I had an message from her a few months ago with regard to that and she gave no indication of what stage her cancer was in. She and I were among the three Catholic girls in our class and we felt a tie therein. She was one of the brightest people in our class and we will miss her sorely. I knew her entire family--all wonderful people. Her father was a business man in our town and the entire family was active in the church. They were all so brilliant. My sympathy to her siblings. A class memorial will follow.

I am sorry to hear about Alice. Fr. Joe Muth announced her death at St. Matthew's last week where I was visiting for just that one week. Alice attended conferences held by the Murphy Initiative for Justice and Peace which is how I know her. I work for the Murphy Initiative and she is part of our email update list. I remember when she first went through chemotherapy and recovered. I did not know the cancer had returned and am very sorry to hear about her death. Thank you to Alice who supported the work of the Murphy Initiative. I remember now that she did not sign up for the Advent retreat in mid December.

Alice was my neighbor at Center Rd.
I know that Alice put up a valiant
fight against cancer for a few years - she was doing so well until this summer.
I will miss her.
