Cathleen O. Buchanan

1958 - 2022

Cathleen O. Buchanan, 64, of Cockeysville, MD, passed away peacefully Monday, August 15, 2022 of ampullary cancer. She was born April 27, 1958 to Marie and Joseph O'Brien in Norristown, PA. Cathy was the beloved wife of John S. Buchanan for 42 years; dear daughter-in-law of Ella Mae and the Honorable William R. Buchanan, Sr.; devoted mother of Clay (Jennifer), Kevin (Jennifer), and Taylor (Scott); cherished grandmother, "Grammie," of Hoven, Merrick, Bowen, Adalynn, and Van; loving sister of Joseph O'Brien Jr. (Lynn), Marybeth Bowman, Ellen Radebaugh (Doug), and Patrick O'Brien (Carrie). She will be missed by Otis, her loyal Scottish Terrier companion. Cathy graduated from Mercy High School in 1976 and from Villa Julie College in Legal Studies. She held a long-standing career of 26 years at Stanley Black & Decker as their Corporate Legal Administrator.

Friends are invited to gather and celebrate Cathy at Baltimore Country Club, 4712 Club Road, Baltimore, MD 21210 on Thursday, September 8th from 5 to 9 PM. A funeral mass will be celebrated at Church of Nativity, 20 E. Ridgely Rd., Timonium, MD 21093 on Friday, September 9th at 11 AM. In lieu of flowers, gifts in memory of Cathleen O.
