Clinton D. Magsamen Jr.

The Magsamen family and many friends have lost a loving, caring and dedicated man, Clinton D. Magsamen Jr. (The Colonel/Bill) on November 15, 2021, at the age of 84. He was the son of the late Clinton D. Sr. and Dorothy Magsamen and loving husband of the late Patricia Leland Weber and brother to the late Wayne Magsamen. He is survived by his three daughters, Karen Sayler (Chuck), Stacey Velenovsky (Robert) and Melissa Kardash. Along with his seven grandchildren Angela Magruder (Patrick), Donald Olkowski IV, Nicholas Sayler (Courtney), Rachel Sayler, Cydnee Kardash, Gus Velenovsky (Christine), Tecla Velenovsky; and thirteen great grandchildren.

Bill grew up in Middle River, MD and stayed there most of his life until his move to Belcamp. He joined the Maryland Air National Guard when he was 19 years old and made it his career for 43 years. Bill worked his way up the ranks to Colonel hence his nickname. He was a very dedicated member and respected leader in the 175th Wing Maryland Air National Guard. He enjoyed spending time with his entire family and many friends. Having parties on holidays especially New Year's Eve and going to dinner with his Guard group and dancing with anyone who would. Cruising and traveling to many states and countries including Florida, Hawaii, Germany, Italy and many family vacations in Ocean City, MD.

Family and friends will honor and celebrate Bill's life at E.F. Lassahn Funeral Home, P.A., 11750 Belair Road, Kingsville, MD, with visiting on Tuesday, November 23, 2021 from 3-8 pm. Funeral services will be held at the funeral home on Wednesday, November 24, 2021, at 11am. Interment will be held privately. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Alzheimer's Association of MD 1850 York Rd D, Lutherville, MD 21093 in memory of Bill.
