Craig Mahoney Obituary
On June 6, 2016 Craig Mahoney passed away. He was the beloved husband of Angela Mahoney (nee Maziarczyk); devoted father of Chris and his wife Erin, and Katie and her fiancé Kelly; cherished son of the late James and Norma Mahoney; loving son-in-law of Nancy and the late Joseph Maziarczyk; dear brother of Tad Mahoney, Pana Macconnell, Danette Ekle, and the late Shawn, Kelly, and Shane Mahoney; loving brother in law of Barbara Maziarczyk, Cathy and Tim Hickman, and Diana and Adam Szczepaniak; beloved nephew of Loretta and the late Harold Derushia. He is also survived by loving nieces and nephews. Relatives and friends are invited to visit at Miller-Dippel Funeral Home Inc., 6415 Belair Rd. Baltimore, MD 21206 on Thursday from 3-5 and 7-9 PM, where a funeral service will be held on Friday at 11:00 AM. Interment will follow at Dulaney Valley Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the Rosedale Volunteer Fire Co., PO Box 9661 Rosedale, MD 21237 or to BHES PTA, 4200 Annapolis Rd. Halethrope, MD 21227. I am sorry to hear of Craig's passing. Growing up at Kenworth at Hazelwood I knew Craig at a young age and he was always giving back to the kids in the neighborhood. Whether it was playing softball in the field across the street or taking us to Farells in Golden Ring Mall we could count on him. Though I haven' t seen him in many years I always considered him a friend. I am coming up on 30 years in law enforcement and I can honestly say he was a huge part of why I am a cop.

Craig and I served together as Army MP"s. He was a good friend and comrade, with a great sense of humor that I am sure that served him well as a Baltimore City Police Officer. My condolences to his family.

My husband and I knew Craig back in the Charlie Brown's days. He was very well thought of and always talked lovingly of his wife and children. He'll be missed by many. May God be with his family..

My thoughts and prayers are with the family, I worked with Craig in the Northwest in early 90's and had the deepest respect and honor to have work with him. He was a great supervisor and I always tried to do as he would have done.

I am honored and blessed to have known Craig. His love and stories of our Baltimore sports teams were fascinating, his collection of sports memorabilia, legendary, and his dry wit, hilarious. He will be greatly missed. My sincerest condolences.
