Vicky, I'm so sorry for your loss. I can't even begin to imagine what you and your family are going through. Words can't express the impact of their passing. The world will be diminished in mourning the loss of your vivacious mother, Jeannette and your dignified father, the Colonel. However, I know from my experience with Kaarle that they will live on in your memories and your heart.
