I want to express my deep sympathy for all of the family at this difficult time. I have wonderful memories of Liz in our days of working with Dr. Manekin. She was a beautiful person and taught me a lot. May you find peace in knowing she is watching over you. Take care and God bless,
Jackie

I recently learned of the news of Liz's passing, and while I was not close to Liz and her family, we shared a brief period of time together working at the Maryland Department of Transportation. In fact, during that time, Liz and I received cats from the same litter (taz, if I recall the name right, was my cat's brother). Liz was a rare professional indeed. Near the same age, I had always wanted to foster a more personal relationship, but situations in our lives did not provide for that. During the short time that we worked together, I was continually impressed with the way Liz handled every situation and she taught me a great deal about our profession. One particular point that she honed for me, was looking at the "opportunity" in every challenge. I'll even bet that she saw, and took, many opportunities in what her illness brought her. For her helpful advice, I will always be grateful and for her kind ways, I will always remember Liz. I know that Tess will grow into a wonderful person having known the the true love of a remarkable human being like Liz. May God bless you all and Liz... thank you!

She won my admiration within the first 10 seconds I knew her and I am thankful for the small fragment of her life that overlapped my own. It is difficult to comprehend the meaning of her early departure – perhaps it is symbolic of how quickly she could get her arms around a situation, overcome an obstacle or win someone over. When you feel cheated, know that her loss in this existence is a gain on a higher level. The things she stood for, her strength of character and her ability to inspire other people cannot be taken away or diminished by disease. Her light shines on in our memories, her laughter and her smile cannot fade. Look for her in the emergence of a flower garden in Spring or the approach of a butterfly in your yard. Think of her heroism when you feel like quitting or need help getting up a steep hill.

Mr.Tom, Mrs.Shirley and Family,
My thoughts are with you at such a difficult time. I have a few memories of playing with Liz when we were very small, when you lived on Delbert Avenue. I hope your memories comfort you and I will keep you in my prayers.

Dear Buddy: We did not know "Liz" very well and we haven't seen you for such a long time, but we know You Loved "Liz", very much and we know you will be a wonderful Father to your daughter "Tess"! Life is full of mystery and to have Faith in Jesus Christ and know "God" has plans for all of us, and the more we believe and know "Liz" is with Our Lord in "Peace" and in no more pain, is what helps with the Sorrow of her death here on earth. The Holy Spirit is Our Power in all we do, and with the Spirit of Jesus he will give you the strength to move on and fullfill your promise. You and Tess and all the family will remain in our prayers. Living on purpose is the only way to really live. Everything else is just existing. Unfortunately, it's easy to get distracted and forget what is most important. To prevent this, you should develop a purpose statement for your "LIFE" and review it regularly, Do it for "LIZ"! "Many are the plans in a man's heart, but it is the Lord's purpose that prevails" (Proverbs 19:21) "Our purpose is to please God, not people." (1 Thessalonians 2:4) God be with you in your sorrow, through the night and through the day; May some blessing come tomorrow that will clear the cloud away. God is generous in His giving, Give Him now the soul that's fled: May He bless with strength the living, Rest eternally the dead. And Remember, Is anyone going to be in heaven because of you? Imagine the Joy of greeting people in heaven whom you helped get their, just like "LIZ", who was so STRONG! "Aim for your Goal", which is to follow in Jesus's Footsteps and BELEIVE, you too will find PEACE like "Liz" has found. "GOD IS LOVE" (1 John 4:8) Peace and Love and May God Bless, Steve Sandy and Sean Weiss (Baltimore)

My thoughts and prayers go out to your entire family. It's been many years since I saw Liz, but she has always held a special place in my heart. I will always cherish the memories of our Seton days...acting in plays together and talking radio. Liz touched my life in a very loving and positive way. I am blessed to have known her.

My heart is very heavy after reading this notice. I was her boss for awhile years ago. The best employee I ever worked with! She always had a sweet, kind smile, was confident and caring. I recently saw her and even through 7 years of battling her illness - it didn't diminish her light. I will never forget her! She now breathes the sweet, eternal air of Heaven and her light will shine forever. God's comfort to her family and all who mourn. Rest in Peace my sweet friend.
