Joseph Hirt Obituary
On July 29, 2015, Joseph Francis Hirt, beloved husband of Sue Hirt, devoted father of Alexander C. Hirt and Katherine A. Hirt, loving brother of Danielle Marecki and her husband Edward, and Phyllis Ryan and her husband Mark. Also survived by two nieces, D. Monique Klapka and Jessica Moody, and one nephew, Christopher Jones. He was preceded in death by his parents, John A. and Danielle (nee Mantegna) Hirt, one sister, Patricia A. and one brother John J. Hirt. Friends may call at the family owned Ruck Towson Funeral Home, Inc., 1050 York Rd., (Beltway Exit 26), Monday, August 3 from 2 to 4 and 6 to 9 pm. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at St. Ursula Catholic Church, 8801 Harford Rd., Tuesday, August 4 at 10 am and burial will be in Parkwood Cemetery.

I have known Joe since grade school when we spent 8 years together at St. Wenceslaus. Joe was a great guy and we shared political and social views. I will miss his smile and laughter. We were so saddened to hear the news of Joe's passing. So often, our memories of our time in Baltimore have stories of Joe in them. He was our Baltimore ambassador when we moved there and was at the hospital for the birth of our son. Our thoughts and prayers are with all of you during this difficult time.
