I remember when meeting him my first week, seeing him I shook his hand firm and he said I had a firm grip. I have only been at BCC for 2 years and have saw the things he did for this agency. I remember the day there was a retirement send off for him. I went up to him to say good bye and shake his hand and He grabed me to hug me and said I was the best receptionist he has ever had. It blew me away. At that time I had only been at BCC for 2 years and saw how beautiful the grounds was for the season. Thanksgiving, Halloween and Christmas (which is my favorite time of year.)
What i knew about him he was a man of character and brought attention to those who worked here. The children respected Him and Co-workers.
So, to the family I send my condolecenses to your family. Yes, grief is hard; grow close to one another by family, friends and even church members to comfort you. I'm still going through myself. Comfort one another through this time and remember the good times you had with him. You carry the love in your hearts of him. Continue hold each other and hold up the Curcio traditions of your family in remebrance of Him.
God Bless you and keep you through this time, your family is in my prayers.

I would like to send my sincere condolences to the Curcio family and friends. I have fond and well respected memories of Mr. Curcio. Moving to the Maryland area for a job with the Board of Child Care was life changing for me. Mr. Curcio loved all the young people's lives that he had an impact with. He pushed those to do whatever was needed to ensure their experience was one that we all could be proud of. He challenged a person to look at new challenges in ways that we may have never thought of before. We all are saying farewell to a man of pride, respect, personal value, and vision. Prayers and blessing to the family, Brandi Powell
