Thomas Heffernan Obituary

HEFFERNAN , Thomas Joseph On December 12, 2006, THOMAS JOSEPH HEFFERNAN, 79, of North Fort Myers, FL. He was born May 20, 1927, in Baltimore, MD, the son of Thomas and Jesse (Hall) Heffernan. Tom served as a Frogman in the US Navy during WWII. He attended McDonough Military School as a young man. Tom had worked for Sherwin Williams as a truck driver for 28 years. He belonged to St. Vincent De Paul Catholic Church as well as St. Andrew Catholic Church. He enjoyed flying in his younger years. Tom also enjoyed lettering and painting, and was an avid reader. Crossword puzzles, photography, and building models were also some of Tom's favorite hobbies. He leaves to cherish his loving memory, his beloved wife, Carolyn Heffernan, of North Fort Myers, Fl; two children, Jacquelyn Koch, of Westminster, MD and Thomas E. Heffernan, of Baltimore, MD; three stepdaughters, Victoria Gise, of Frederick, MD, Robin (Kerry) Wisnosky, of Washington, D.C., and Susan Griffiths, of Cape Coral, FL; two grandchildren, seven step grandchildren, and five great grandchildren. He was predeceased by his first wife, Margaret in 1980.
Visitation will be on Thursday from 1 to 3 P.M. and 5 to 7 P.M. at Fuller-Cape Coral Funeral Home with a funeral service beginning at 7 P.M. in the funeral home chapel. Funeral arrangements under the direction of Fuller-Cape Coral Funeral Home-Cremation Service, 3740 Del Prado Blvd., Cape Coral, FL 33904, (239)542-3161.
