How many personalities has anyone ever met like Wally? I saw him just a few days before he passed away. He was smiling and optimistic to the end.
Wallace Campbell was a great man. Humble in demeanor and quiet in tone, he possessed a noble character. Wally was a businessman you could trust, a man of integrity, He was a true Christian who radiated goodness, kindness and compassion. I admired his vision, deep understanding, and practical wisdom. I miss his good humor.
With his radiant smile and love of life, he enriched everyone he came into contact with. His zest for life was contagious. He loved a good time and lived well. He loved the special women in his life, his close associates and friends, but most of all, his capable and devoted son and daughter in law who were wonderfully devoted to him. He cherished his grandchildren.
Wally was as tall in stature as he was great in influence. Our consolation is that he was granted length of years. I think he actually deserved more, but for the privilege of having known him, Mary Radwell Campbell and Ann, on behalf of my mother, Mrs. Beatrice Schwartz, his neighbor, my family and I extend sincere solicitude to all who mourn his passing, his friends included.
We are grateful for the blessing Wally's life was and forever is in memory never to be forgotten.

Ann, When I think of Wally, what comes to mind is a memory of a gathering that was held at the house in Sydney N.Y. All the boys were there and were teasing him about drinking "Old Mildew" - the nick name that the boys gave Old Milwalkee Beer. It just happened to be the beer that Wally brought that night. Rick laughed about it later saying that all the teasing was the their way of bonding with him - (except he didn't use the word "bonding" heaven forbid)It was their way of welcoming him into the family and Wally knew it, too... I remember that night because there was a lot of laughing and joking around between him and the boys - and I remember smiling to myself because it was impossible to miss that Wally was doing an awful lot of smiling that night. You and your family was a wonderful way for Wally to close the last chapter of his life - he adored you, and you him; and you both deserved that. He was such a sweet and kind man, someone that we were all blessed to have known. Each life is made richer when influenced by a sweet soul such as his. I think about you often, and send you heartfelt prayers in this your hour of sadness and loss. God bless you. Love, Holly
