William Jones Obituary

William H. "Bill" Jones?Jr., 92 of Bel Air, MD, passed away peacefully on July?24, 2025. Born May?17, 1933 in Utica, NY, he was raised in Clark Mills following the early loss of his mother. A proud Navy Radio Operator aboard USS Carter Hall (LSD 3) during the Korean Conflict, he served from 1952 to 1956.

Bill was a devoted husband to Carol (married June?29, 1957) and a committed community leader. He helped found the Bel Air soccer programs for boys and girls, coached multiple youth sports teams, and served in leadership roles with the Lions Club, PTA, and High School Boosters. In 1986, he co founded A 1 SuperSeal, Inc.

He is survived by his wife Carol; seven children, Michael (Mary), Mark (June), Maureen Eller (Lynn), Matthew (Judy), Marty, Patrick (Molly), Kathy Brock (John); 14 grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and step sister Patricia Culbertson. A Celebration of Life will be held this fall at American Legion Post?#39. In lieu of flowers, prayers are welcome in his honor.

I´m so sorry for your loss. Mr Jones was a nice man with a great laugh! I will never forget his story about him being in the kitchen late one night and Maureen´s boyfriend at the time was in the adjacent bathroom.
