Jon Holmes Obituary
East Leroy
Jon Holmes, 73, of East Leroy, died April 16, 2015.
He was born February 18, 1942 in Battle Creek.
Jon graduated from Lakeview High School, and entered his career at Michigan Paperboard as a machine tender. He worked there for forty six years, retiring in 2009.
He loved golf, working on his tractor, hunting, and attending classic car shows.
Jon married Linda Diane Vice on June 28, 1963. She passed away on June 26, 2012. He then married Patricia (Patti) Holder on Feb 22, 2014, who survives. Also surviving are sons, Michael, and Doug (Joanne); three grandchildren, and three step-children, Kim, Kevin, and Karla. He was preceded in death by his parents and first wife, Linda.
Visitation, 2:00 to 4:00 PM and from 6:00 to 8:00 PM Sunday, April 19, 2015 at Shaw Funeral Home, Battle Creek.
Service will take place 11:00 AM, Monday, April 20, 2015, at Wakeshma Community Church with Pastor Dave Mackaluso officiating. Interment, Leroy Township Cemetery.
The family wishes memorial contributions to the Wakeshma Community Church.
The family is being served by Shaw Funeral Home.
