I think of Travis often. He is always in my heart and mind. I love all my nieces and nephews. And I loved him too. I can remember one time when he was little and I babysat him when his Dad and Mom were busy. Cute little boy with blond curley hair. I remember other good times too. Travis isn't really gone. He lives in the hearts and minds of people that love him. And is watching over us.

Wendy and family,
I know it's been 3 months and more since you lost dear Travis. I have thought of you and your family every day since this tragedy happened. My heart breaks for you. I do know what this feels like and I am so sorry you have to go through this. A loss of innocence is never easy. And it IS such a loss of innocence for everyone who goes through this. There will always be a hole in your heart and that is the most devastating part of this loss. My wish for you and your family is to have the peace in your heart that all parents who have lost children pray for every day. May you be granted serenity and the joy of happy memories, Wendy. I had the priviledge of watching as Travis was being introduced to new and different types of music, you see I had Travis in my class at KCC, The 'History of Rock and Roll'. I remember a quite young man coming to class with different music CD's from the class before,our instructor would ask us if we wanted to borrow a CD to introduce us to different types,and styles of music. I would say to myself how awesome it was to see a young person so interested in broadening his horizons! Travis you will be missed, because you dared to be different, in a world were so many people are trying so hard to be like everyone else, it was like fresh air to see someone who was trying not to be!

There aren't words to describe how important Travis was to me, even if there were times I failed to truly show it. He was a source of laughter, a loyal friend, and everything he said made me smile. Even a smile and a nod from him in the hallway would brighten my day. The three years I knew him were too few. Keathley family, I am so sorry for your loss. Know that I will never, ever forget Travis.

Travis was a student in my Rock and Roll History class at KCC and was a wonderful person. He truly enjoyed music and I will miss his presence in class. Travis was kind and respectful to his fellow classmates and it was fun talking with him about rock and roll.

I am very sorry to hear about this loss. I am a fellow student who went to school with him at Lakeview and share the Rock and Roll History class with him. He wanted to learn more about the music and I wish he could have experienced it as any teenager would. I think psychedelic music was what he was interested in as well as folk music. Learning that he was teaching himself the guitar means he was devoted to tasting more. I wish the best for the Keathley family.

Dear Family of Travis, I was in Travis' Rock and Roll History class at KCC. I thought much of him. Everyone in the class loved his enthusiasm. He was so open to new music and always had a smile on his face. In fact just last week after class I thanked him for taking the class because I enjoyed watching his face light up through out the different lessons. I told him he was a treat to take the class with. I imagine that was just the way he was. I lost my 19 year old baby brother in September. Know that my family in Indiana is praying for you as am I. I will be praying for strength, wisdom, peace, and only the best of God’s people to surround you during this terrible tragedy.
