Dorothy Jean Morgan

Mountain Home - Dorothy Jean Morgan, age 90, of Mountain Home, Arkansas passed away August 31, 2018 in Gassville, Arkansas. She was born on September 02, 1927 in Gassville to Henry and Una (Lonon) Horn.

Dorothy married William "Bill" Thomas Morgan on November 17, 1947, in Mountain Home and they spent 45 wonderful years together before he passed away in 1992. Dorothy and Bill owned and operated Morgan Theater on the court square in Mountain Home from 1947-1948. She loved nothing more than spending time with her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She was involved heavily in First Baptist Church here in Mountain Home for many years. She was a charter member of the Coterie Club and a member of Extension Homemakers Club.

She is survived by her daughter: Brenda Marie Sharp (Tom); two grandchildren: Morgan Elizabeth Sharp (Eldon) and Jeremy Alan Sharp (Areil); four great-grandchildren: Mackenzie Pate, Wyatt Sharp, Landon Sharp, and Hadley Sharp; one brother: Jerry Horn (Audrey); one sister in law Ann Horn; close friend Sue Horn; a host of nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her husband Bill, her parents, and two sons: William David Morgan and Thomas Alan Morgan; one brother Bob Horn.

Visitation will be held from 1-2 PM on Monday September 03, 2018 at the Roller Funeral Home Chapel with a funeral service following the visitation. Interment will be at Kirby Tucker Cemetery following the funeral. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions can be made to Hospice of the Ozarks or First Baptist Church.
