Vernon Watkins Obituary
Vernon Lyle Watkins, 63, passed away on Tuesday, October 8th, 2013. Vernon was born in Long Beach, CA and moved to the Houston area as a child. He grew up in Pearland and later moved to Pasadena, Tx. He worked hard throughout his life and retired from Sutherland's Lumber in 2010. Vernon loved his family, baseball, music, and beer. He is preceded in death by his parents, Lyle and Rudy Watkins. He is survived by his daughter, Rachel Holcomb and her husband Bryan;his son, Charles Watkins and his fiance Laura Wollam; and his son James Watkins and his wife Lyndsay. His close friend Stephanie Shinn and her dog Eddie loved him unconditionally and meant the world to him. He has 7 grandchildren and countless friends. Vernon was one of a kind. He had a big heart and a sense of humor that was loved by those that knew him. He will be missed beyond words but never forgotten. We love you, Pop!
