DOVER - Claudette A. Bowen passed away Thursday, January 27, 2022 in her home surrounded by her loving family.
Claudette was born on May 22, 1942 in Dover, Del. the daughter of the late Claude and Grace Outten. She was the co-owner of Outten Brothers Furniture Store in Dover, Del. where she worked since she was 13 years old. Claudette loved traveling the World with her husband, taking trips across the Country in their motorhome, and visiting different States. Claudette also enjoyed spending the Winter months in Florida with her family and friends. She had a passion for cooking and watching the cooking channel and trying new things. Claudette made sure she always had her hair and nails done and was very fashionable. Her pride and joy was spending time and spoiling her grandkids and great grandkids.
Claudette was preceded in death by her son, Harold Tribble of Dover; her sister, Pauline Starkey of Felton; her brother, Al Outten of Florida; and her loving dogs, Precious and Daffney.
Claudette is survived by her loving husband of 43 years, David Bowen and their dogs Pricilla and Tiffany; her sister, Shirley Carullo and husband Nick of Florida; her son, William Tribble and significant other Kim Grimes of Dover; her daughters, Desiree Spurlock and husband Steve of Florida, Valoree Stulir and husband Tom of Felton; her grandchildren, Amanda Marlow and husband Lee of Magnolia, Mandy Tribble of Dover, Carerra Bowen of Florida, Erica Gingerich and husband Davey of Hartly, Nicholas Larm of Minnesota, and Brooklyn Stulir of Felton; her great grandchildren, Braden, Gavin, and Asher.
Services will be Thursday, February 3, 2022 at Trader Funeral Home, 12 Lotus Street at 2 p.m. Family and friends may call at 12 p.m. until time of service. Burial will be at Lake Side Cemetery in Dover.
