Gilbert Macias Obituary
Gilbert Macias "Gil" 84, passed away November 30, 2020 in Jacksonville Beach, FL. He was born March 25, 1936 in El Paso, TX. He was retired from self employment with his company Gil Macias Enterprises. He enjoyed living at the beach where he was well known and liked by anyone he joked around with or just got a hello and a friendly smile. He loved to fish!
He is survived by his wife Sandra Macias and her daughter April Wilson of Jacksonville Beach, FL. His children Gilbert Macias "Sonny" (Rukshana) of SC, Steve Macias FL, Julie Mason (Tony) of AR. Greg Macias of AR, second mom Gladys Macias of FL. He had 19 grandchildren, 23 great grands and a host of nieces, nephews and friends. Siblings Mary T. Villereal of TX, Herminia Velosco of IL, Petra Clark (Jack) of IL, Esther Quenoniz (Alex) of MO, David Macias (Litty) of CA. He is preceded in death by his dad Guillermo "Bill" Macias, his mom Felicitas Macias, two brothers Bill Macias, Frank Macias, and one sister Frances Luna.
Because of COVID a gathering for family and friends will be at a later date.
In Lieu of flowers, please make donations to Jacksonville Humane Society located at 8464 Beach Blvd. Jacksonville Beach, FL 32216 in memory of Gil Macias, where he worked for many years as Director Manager. RIP Dad.
