From my first meeting Sister Olivia in 1960 to my last meeting Sister Jo Rita in 2012 she had a profound influence on my life. I was fortunate to have her as a teacher, mentor and friend. She was the person who most influenced my faith, teaching career, and approach to life. May she now receive the reward she so richly deserves. Rest in peace and love always.

Sr. Jo Rita and I taught together for 30 years. Our first year at Seton Jr. High was 1977. The one word that comes to mind after knowing her is "dedication."
She was dedicated to her faith, her order, her family, her school, and her students. This dedication was not a burden, not a chore, not a daily task that had to be done. She knew her purpose in life and lived it with joy. Her endless energy, sacrifice, caring, and love taught me that doing what you love is more important than loving what you do. It's the selfless acts that count. It's what you do with your ability and love that counts. I'm sure God told her last Wednesday, "Good and faithful servant, enter into my kingdom."

For 13 years, it was an honor for me to share your lunch table and friendship at Seton Catholic Jr. High School. May you now enjoy your eternal banquet in Heaven. Rest in peace, my dear friend, and may God's perpetual light shine upon you!

Such a wonderful math teacher, school principal, role model, truly faithful servant of God. She helped shape so many young lives over so many years of service. What a gift her life was to those who were blessed to know her. I have such fond memories of her at St. Mary School in Orange, and her ability to balance discipline with that warm, genuine smile. Sister Jo Rita, for the imprint you made on mine and many, many lives, thank you. On to your joy-filled forever!

Sr. Jo Rita was a great math teacher. She was also a great leader for us as principal many years ago at St. Mary's in Orange. Thank you, Sister, for the difference you made in all our lives.
