Richard "Don" Guidry

Richard Don Guidry, 77, of Nederland passed away Saturday, January 10, 2009 at the Medical Center of Southeast Texas in Port Arthur. Funeral services will be 2:00 PM Tuesday, January 13, 2009 at Broussard's in Nederland with Rev. Peter Cammarano officiating. Interment will follow at Oak Bluff Memorial Park in Port Neches. A gathering of family and friends will be from 5 to 8 PM Monday at the mortuary. Mr. Guidry was a native and lifelong resident of Nederland. He retired from B.F. Goodrich in Port Neches as an operator with 30 years of service. He also served his country in the U.S. Marines during the Korean Conflict, and was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Port Neches. Mr. Guidry is survived by his wife of 56 years, Peggy Guidry; son, Rick Guidry and wife Lois of Port Neches; his grandchildren, Brad Guidry and wife Andrea of Nederland, Taylor Guidry of Friendswood, and Joel Guidry of San Marcos; his great granddaughter, Evyn Marie Guidry; his brother-in-law, Richard Dick Stockton of Nederland; his sisters, Delores Smith of Vidor, and Joyce Scales of Bridge City; his brothers, Dalton Guidry of Mineola, and Darrell Maxwell of Vidor.
