October 24, 1998 - January 4, 2021
Freeburg, Illinois - Alexander Mack, 22, of Freeburg, IL, born October 24, 1998, in Belleville, IL, died Monday, January 4, 2021, at St. Elizabeth's Hospital, O'Fallon, IL.
Alex graduated from Freeburg Township High School – Class of 2016. He was an all-state cross country runner and a starter on the Freeburg varsity basketball team. Alex attended MacMurray College and played basketball as a freshman. Most recently, he was a senior at Washburn University, studying media communications with an emphasis on business. Alex was looking forward to graduation and starting a career in financial services. He enjoyed watching sports and was a New England Patriots fan. Unfortunately, his life came to abrupt end. Alex will always be remembered and loved by his family and his many close friends. Our hearts are so heavy.
He was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, James and Norma McGee.
Surviving are his parents, Gary and Kristine, nee McGee, Mack; a brother, Conner Mack; his paternal grandparents, Patricia Mack and Raymond Mack; and other extended family including cousins, aunts, and uncles.

Visitation: Family only may visit the family from 10 a.m. to 12 noon Saturday, January 9, 2021, at George Renner & Sons Funeral Home, Belleville, IL.
Funeral: Funeral services for the family only, will be held at 12 noon Saturday, January 9, 2021, at George Renner & Sons Funeral Home, Belleville, IL, with Rev. Earl Crecelius and Rev. Rick Mortimer officiating.
Burial will be at St. Paul's Cemetery, Freeburg, IL.

Linda and I extend our sympathy on the loss of your son. God never intended us to outlive our children. Pastor Earl will verify that I to have experienced this in my life.
