Charles Mase Obituary
Charles L. Mase, 83, of Granite City, Ill., born June 4, 1932, in Wharton, N.J., passed away Sunday, Jan. 3, 2016, at Anderson Hospital, Maryville, Ill.
Charles was a flight information specialist for the U.S. Air Force and proudly served his country in the Korean War.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Charles W. and Minnie E., nee Dunkin, Mase; and two sisters, Audrey Drake and Charlotte Oswald.
Surviving are his wife, Joan, nee Mase, Cann, whom he married May 6, 1958; his sons, Curt (Mary) Mase of Spanish Fort, Ala., Richard Mase of Navarre, Fla., Jeff Mase of Maryville, Ill., and Rodney (Michelle) Mase of Glen Carbon, Ill.; seven grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
Memorials are suggested to the Madison County Veterans Association.
Visitation: Friends may call on from 5 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 6, 2016, at Irwin Chapel, 3960 Maryville Road, Granite City, Ill.
Funeral: In celebration of his life, services will be held at 9:30 a.m. Thursday, Jan. 7, 2016, at the funeral home with Pastor Kevin Hancock officiating. Burial will follow with full military rites at Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery, St. Louis, Mo.

You are one of our heroes.
We will remember you always and miss you dearly.
Take your Warrior's rest for a duty well done.
I wish to extend to members of your family my deepest sympathy on their loss. May the force of GOD be with them as they walk through this difficult time. May the loving promises of our LORD and Savior comfort them and give them strength.
