Jeffery Breckel Obituary
Jeffery P. Breckel, 44, of Mascoutah, Ill., born May 18, 1969, in Wichita, Kan., passed away Monday, Oct. 21, 2013, at Piedmont Fayette Hospital in Fayetteville, Ga.
Mr. Breckel was a customer engineer for NCR. He was a member of St. George Parish in New Baden, Ill. He was very active in the Lookingglass Playhouse Theater in Lebanon, Ill. He enjoyed acting, writing, and directing. Jeff grew up in Lebanon, was a graduate of Lebanon High School, class of 1987 and during his high school years he played baseball and also went to State in cross country.
He was preceded in death by his father-in-law, Victor L. vonHatten; and a brother-in-law, David vonHatten in infancy.
Surviving are his wife, Victoria L., nee vonHatten, Breckel, whom he married on June 1, 1991, in New Baden, Ill.; parents, Dale and Carol, nee Comstock, Breckel of Breese, Ill.; his children, Joshua Breckel and Emma Breckel of Mascoutah; two brothers, Jay (Amy) Breckel of Cadiz, Ky., and Gary (Cari) Breckel of Hazelwood, Mo.; a sister, Leann (Linus) Wilke of Breese; mother-in-law, Marilyn H. vonHatten of New Baden; a sister-in-law, Linda (James) Miller of New Baden; and nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to his children's education fund and will be received at the funeral home. Condolences may be sent to the family at www.hempenfuneralhome.com
Visitation: Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. Friday, Oct. 25, 2013, and 8 to 9:30 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 26, 2013, at Hempen Funeral Home in New Baden, Ill.
Funeral: Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 26, 2013, at St. George Catholic Church in New Baden with Rev. Gene Neff and Deacon Glenn Netemeyer officiating. Burial will follow at Resurrection Cemetery in New Baden, Ill.

Jeff was a genuine good guy, he was very helpful during training. On behalf of the class at NCR training, we want to send our deepest sympathies and know you and the rest of his family are in our prayers.
