John Tullock Obituary
John Robert Tullock Jr., 59, of Granite City, Ill., born Dec. 22, 1954, in Farmington, Mo., died Tuesday, Sept. 23, 2014, in Granite City, Ill.
Mr. Tullock is a Vietnam veteran that served his country in the Army, Co. A 4/64 Armor HQ USAREUR, as a Black Beret and mechanic. He was employed by C and P Security in Granite City as a security guard, and many other jobs during his life. John was a Cub Scout Leader at Mitchell School, and a member of AMVETS Post 204 in Madison, Ill.
He was preceded in death by his parents, John Robert Sr. and Mary Louise, nee Stephens, Tullock.
Surviving are his sons, Shon Robert Tullock of Granite City, Ill., and Dane Sabin Tullock of Staunton, Ill.; daughter, Tara N. Tullock of Jerseyville, Ill.; sister, Geri Lynn Marsden of Potosi, Mo.; grandchildren, Kristopher, Isaak, and Nicolas Knestaut of Jerseyville, Ill.; and ex-wife, Sharon Tullock of Staunton.
Memorials may be made to the family and will be accepted at the funeral home. Online condolences may be given at www.irwinchapel.com
Funeral: A celebration of his life will be held at a later date.
