Larry Probst Obituary

Larry Probst
Larry Probst, 95, of Belleville, Ill., born July 28, 1912, in Elvins, Mo., died Wednesday, Nov. 28, 2007, at his residence.
Mr. Probst was retired from the U. S. Coast Guard after 30 years of service. Larry was a member of Blessed Sacrament
Catholic Church. He was a member of the St. Louis VFW Post 6137 and the Knights of Columbus Council 1028. Larry was also a member of the M.O.W.W.
(Military Officers of World Wars) and the Retired Officers Association. Larry was a World War II U.S. Coast Guard veteran and
served in Africa and England during World War II.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Daniel and Ella Maybelle, nee Leonard, Probst; his former wife, Colette Marie Probst; a brother in infancy; and three sisters, Ruby, Catherine, and Wilma.
He is survived by his wife Patricia, nee Keethers, Probst; three nieces, Leoma (Harold) Reil, Mary Hull, and Joan (Marvin) Hickman; four brothers-in-law, Gene Keethers, Richard (Ann) Keethers, Peter (Ruth) Keethers, and James Keethers; special caregiver, Martha Bernal; and numerous great-nieces, great-nephews, and friends who will miss him very much.
Memorials may be made to the Edmondite Missions. Condolences may be expressed to the family online at www.rennerfh.com.

Visitation: Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. Friday, Nov. 30, 2007, at George Renner & Sons Funeral Home, Belleville, Ill.

Funeral: A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 9 a.m. Saturday, Dec. 1, 2007, at Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church, Belleville, Ill., with Father Clyde Grogan officiating. Burial will be at St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery, Evansville, Ind.
