Leah Suggs Leah A. Suggs, nee Conklin, 52, of O'Fallon, IL, born, March 28, 1966, in Belleville, IL, passed away on Wednesday, November 14, 2018. Leah was a collector of many things always checking out local yard sales for bargains of the many decorative blown ceramic eggs she collected or the Ashton Drake dolls, old non-electric coffee pots and Longaberger Baskets. She always cared more for others than for herself; she would always do one good deed a day for someone, even when she was hurting. Leah loved going to Joyce Meyer ministries conventions; she was very open, honest and didn't hold anything back. Leah was preceded in death by her brother, Cecil Newman; maternal grandparents, Cecil and Emma Harp; and paternal grandparents, Newman and Margarite Conklin. Surviving are her husband, Joe Suggs of O'Fallon, IL; children, Joe (Tammy) Suggs III of East Alton, IL, Heather Simunich of Belleville, IL, Tyler (Megan) Simunich of Richmond, KY, Lunden Simunich of O'Fallon, IL, and Macy Simunich of O'Fallon, IL; parents, Scott and Sandy Conklin (nee Harp) of Dawson Springs, KY; brother, Scott (Sarah) Conklin II of Dawson Springs, KY; sisters, Cynthia Conklin of Belleville, IL, and Melissa Keller of Belleville, IL; grandchildren, Spencer Achenbach and Lillian Achenbach; as well as her father-in-law and mother-in-law, Joe and Bonnie Suggs of O'Fallon, IL. Visitation: Visitation will be held from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. on Monday, November 19, 2018, at Schildknecht Funeral Home, 301 South Lincoln Avenue, O'Fallon, IL 62269. Services: Funeral service will be held at 10 a.m. on Tuesday, November 20, 2018, at the funeral home with Rev. Becky Williams officiating. Interment will follow at O'Fallon City Cemetery, O'Fallon, IL.
