Velma Compton Obituary
Velma Compton, nee Francis, 79, of Belleville, Ill., born Dec. 18, 1932, in Jonesboro, Tenn., died Friday, Sept. 21, 2012, at her residence.
Mrs. Compton retired from the housekeeping unit of Scott Air Force Base Hospital.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Gudger and Bertha Ann, nee Kinley, Francis.
Surviving are her daughter, Shelia (Rick) Cisco of Belleville, Ill.; two sons, Rory (Lisa) Compton of Olean, Mo., and Troy D. Compton of Belleville, Ill.; grandchildren, Michael (Kelsey) Hilscher, Bridgette Dodson, Troy Jr., Anthony and Shawn Compton, Andrew (Kala) Guess, and Michael Gonzales; four great-grandchildren, Savannah, David James, Gabriella, and Austin; three brothers, Raymond, Ronnie and Danny Francis; one sister, Dorothy Swafford; and her step-mother, Georgia Francis.

Visitation: Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. Monday, Sept. 24, 2012, at George Renner and Sons Funeral Home, Belleville, Ill.
Funeral: Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Tuesday, Sept. 25, 2012, at George Renner & Sons Funeral Home, Belleville, Ill., with the Rev. Tony Corado officiating.

I'm so sorry you lost your Mom. I will pray for God's comfort for your family and that he wrap His loving arms around you and give you peace.
I haven't seen you in nearly 35 years (until Rory knocked on my door yesterday), but remember your family so well.
