Carol Worline Obituary

Our dear, sweet mother, Carol J. Worline, was born to Guy and Katherine Gilbert on June 16th, 1931 in Sedro Woolley and passed away peacefully with her family at her home in La Conner on November 16th, 2009. Carol was a lifelong resident of Skagit Valley, and married Gary G. Worline in Bellingham on July 21st, 1951. They shared several homes, including two farms, over the course of 57 years before Gary's passing last February. She is survived by her son Ron (Woodinville), daughter Sharon Reading (Spokane), son John (Sedro Woolley), daughter Judy Grande (Des Moines), daughter Marian Kallicott (Camano Island), 8 grandchildren and 5 great granddaughters. She is also survived by her sister, Kathryn Tennis, of Mt. Vernon, WA. We especially want to thank the La Conner Retirement Inn's caregivers, Skagit Hospice and Visiting Angels for their support of her and our family. Any donations in her name to a Skagit Valley organization of your choice, such as Skagit Hospice, will be appreciated. Please share your memories of her on Legacy.com. A memorial service will be held at the Kern Funeral Home in Mt. Vernon at 11:00 am on Saturday, November 21st, 2009. A lunch reception will follow right after the service in Kern's reception room. Interment will follow the reception at the Mount Vernon Cemetery. Arrangements are under the care of Kern Funeral Home

I remember Carol Worline and all the Worline children on our bus route each day. Carol always had a big smile on her face and she loved being a mom and living on the farm. I have great childhood memories of the old neighborhood and the Worline family!
May God Bless You! I am sorry for your loss and will keep you in my prayers.

I will always remember both Carol and Gary in working for Dr. Gross for many years. I have a very fond memory of them being so kind and helping our brother out in his trying times, Cal Hollingsworth as a neighbor and a friend. Our thoughts and prayers are with all the family.

I'm sorry to hear of your loss. I spent may days in your Mom's kitchen sharing pie and grill cheese sandwiches. I loved those sandwiches. I have many memories of my days on Hoehn Road. My deepest sympathy. Marj (Eaton) Davis.
