Donald Wolfe Obituary

Donald J Wolfe

June 30, 1937 - February 23, 2025

Bellingham, Washington - It is with heavy hearts that the family of Donald J. Wolfe announces his passing on February 23, 2025, at the age of 87. Born in Silverton, Oregon, on June 30, 1937, Donald lived a life full of love, dedication, and joy.

Donald married his beloved wife, Phyllis Mezo, on April 9, 1960, in Bellingham, WA. Together, they raised three children Pamela, Donna, and Michael. He was a proud and loving father, doting grandfather, and a cherished great-grandfather. His family was his greatest joy.

Donald retired from Intalco in 1999 after many years of dedicated service. Following retirement, he enjoyed spending time in Arizona, where he found peace and joy. He had a deep love for the outdoors and cherished time spent hunting, fishing, and puttering in his workshop. His faith was a central part of his life, and he was an active member of St. Joseph Catholic Church.

Donald was preceded in death by his parents, Michael and Eugenia Wolfe, and his sisters, Mary Underwood and Louise Furin. He is survived by his wife, Phyllis; children Pamela (Danny) Lomsdalen, Donna Harkness, and Michael (Christie) Wolfe. He leaves behind grandchildren Karla Northington, Clayton (Rebecca) Northington, Anthony (Shaylene) Matlewsky, Alisha Hobson, Brooke Walker, Colby Wolfe, Kaleb Wolfe, and Katelyn Wolfe. He also leaves a legacy of love through his great-grandchildren Isaiah Kelly, Jayvion Johnson, Jo Hobson, Makayla Northington, and CJ Northington, and his siblings: Del Wolf, George (Joyce) Wolf, Tom (Rhonda) Wolf, Fran (Rich) Perry, and Sharlene Hanken. He will also be fondly remembered by special nephews Greg (Sonja) Wolf, Stan (Trina) Wolf, and John (Jennifer) Perry, as well as numerous loving nieces, nephews, cousins, and extended family.

A man of great warmth and kindness, Donald's family was his cornerstone, and his gentle nature and sense of humor touched the lives of all who knew him. Donald lived a full life, enjoying time with his loved ones and finding peace in the simple pleasures. His memory will live on in the hearts of his family and friends.

A viewing and Rosary service will be held at Moles Funeral Home in Ferndale on March 6, 2025, at 6 p.m. A Funeral Mass will take place at St. Joseph's Catholic Church at 9 a.m. on Friday, March 7, followed by a graveside service at Greenacre Memorial Park and a reception at St. Joseph's Catholic Church.

Don trained me in the potlines at Intalco in the 90s. Really nice and helpful guy, and the hardest worker around. A tiny bit curmudgeonly but that was part of the fun. My condolences to his family.
