Dear Weed Family, I remember Lana and Ernie (and Lana) from Elizabeth Park and the neighborhood when we lived on Park Street in the 1950's and 60's. I remember that one time some older kids were harassing me to get off the merry go round and Ernie said: "If anybody bothers you just let me know and they'll be sorry." He always looked after the little kids and he was like having another big brother around. My sincere sympathy to you and may your wonderful and warm memories of him help you through your sorrow. Emi

I'm sorry for your loss. I remember playing with Ernie & Lana in Elizabeth Park when we were kids. He was older, but was still part
of the old park gang I remember from childhood. I often wondered what became of him. I'm glad he had a good life & glad I knew him. May his memories bring you all peace. Kitty Reynolds Mcginnis

Linda and Family==I understand that Ernie had to endure a lot of pain and suffering in his last years. It is so hard to have to deal with all of life's challenges but thankfully he is not having to make any more of his decisions. Peace be with all of your family==SANDY GRANT

Such a great neighbor, I loved his free advice. The saying goes that if you don't plant your garden in the spring you will have to grovel in the fall. Ernie and Linda never made us grovel always so very generous with their fruits and veggies. Ernie will be missed. I hope he is planting his garden in heaven. Love and hugs -Tim Pam and Brent Halderman
