Carl Jahnsen Obituary
Mr. Jahnsen was born in Grimstad, Norway, on March 1, 1912, and was the son of the late Adolph and Olivia (Moy) Jahnsen. He received his education in Norway. He moved to the United States when he was 16 and had worked as a truck driver for the Schraffts Candy Co. in New York City for many years. Mr. Jahnsen relocated to Vermont in 1974 from Staten Island, N.Y.
He is predeceased by his wife, the former Jenny Mabel Johnson.
Mr. Jahnsen is survived by his son, R. Bruce Jahnsen, of Manchester, and his caregiver, Edie Gahre, also of Manchester. He is predeceased by two brothers, John and Arthur, and his sister, Marie Clement.
Funeral services will be private at the Dellwood Cemetery in Manchester.
Funeral arrangements are under the direction of the Mahar & Son Funeral Home.
