Leo (The Great Bartus) Bartoski was a man with a High Heart and a Kind Spirit. I was Blessed to have had the Pleasure of knowing him when I visited Hoosick Falls in my teens. He always wanted to visit me in Ireland and I always wished he had come. To a very dear friend I send my condolences to family members. A shining light who I will so very much miss. We had exchanged thoughts and Christmas cards across the miles the last 32 years. To a dear dear friend I will miss you....rest in peace...until we meet again

Barto!!! What can be said that hasn't been said in previous writing. Being a Cambridge guy who got to know many Hoosick Falls people over the years, Barto sticks out whether it be sports or nothing but a quick hello in passing. Having been in the Auto business all my adult life--and Barto not having a license in the early years I used to kid him of HEY, your killing me here. I need to sell one more car today. Lots of laughs and I will say "he" sent me several customers over the years. In his words, trust is what it is all about. I will never forget this. You will be missed but as is said, their are better places and I think you found one. Keep that smile...

Such wonderful memories of Barto from the past 30+ years starting with my childhood summers at the country club where he would buy our golf balls just to help us out through his support of our high school basketball team and into adult hood where we exchanged Christmas cards and just this past summer he showed me the "back" door into the clubhouse at Saratoga raceway... We know he is not gone, just stepped out of his earthly body to move to a new home with the lord! Love you Barto and see you soon enough!

I hadn't had any contact with the great Bartoski in the last few years, but as a teenager, I remember his laughter and kindness toward all of us kids. I will always remember him as the greatest Detroit fan ever! Rest in Peace "Uncle" Leo.

With Tink Shiland and Paul Harrison, Bartou taught us to play bb with our heads and with our heads up. Always silent with head bowed in church, but never that way outside. Let Leo's spirit live on.
