Michael Berard Obituary
He was born in Bennington, VT October 4, 1959. He was the son of the late William F. Berard and Virginia "Ginny" (Stratton) Berard. Mike received his education in Bennington and was a graduate of Mount Anthony Union High School. He married the former Kim Pierce on July 16, 1994.
For many years, he worked as a carpenter and was currently employed at Maple Brook Farms until the time of his illness.
Mike enjoyed going to Sucker Pond, shooting and being with his family.
Survivors include his wife Kim M. Berard of Bennington. A daughter Shannon Farnum and her husband Jay of Colchester, VT. A son Nathan J. Berard of Bennington. A grandson, Evan E. Farnum of Colchester. His siblings and their spouses, Steve Berard and Dawn of St. Johnsbury, VT, Jean Berard of Bennington, Tom Berard and Bonnie of Bennington, Esther McGarvin and Debbie Berard both of Bennington and Becky Legacy and Shawn of Shaftsbury, Susie Sanders and Roy of Mississippi, along with several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins and his best friend Robert Viores. He was pre-deceased by two brothers, Joey and William Berard and a sister Cathy Massey
SERVICES: Mikes wishes were not to have any services but to have a big gathering with family and friends at a date yet to be determined.
Memorial contributions in Mike Berard's memory may be made to either VNA and Hospice, 1128 Monument Ave., Bennington, VT 05201 or the Fish and Wildlife Trust Fund, 1 National Life Drive, Davis 2, Montpelier, VT 05620-3702.
