Ann Levinsky Obituary

Pittsfield/Bomoseen, VT - Ann (Schako) Levinsky, 95, died Sunday, February 18, 2018 at home with her loving daughters by her side.

Ann was born on January 2, 1923 in Pittsford, VT a daughter of the late George and Mary (Czabo) Schako. She was a graduate of Proctor High School, and then went on to marry Mr. Walter Levinsky on July 9, 1945. Together they started their family in Pittsfield, and Ann later worked for many years as a bookkeeper for the Pittsfield Milk Exchange, the former Fairdale Farms, and at the Hematology Oncology office of Dr. Specter & Dr. Zimbler.

With them, Ann volunteered for countless fundraisers over the years, and spent a great deal of time knitting hats and scarves for patients at the BMC. She was also a longtime member of the Senior Center, and looked forward to her weekly card-playing group.

Ann is survived by her two daughters, Sharon Suarez and her husband Donald of Riverside, CA and Debra Lechner and her husband John of Olympia, WA. She also leaves her two granddaughters, Rebecca & Melissa Suarez, both of CA. She was predeceased by her husband Walter on April 22, 2002 after 56 wonderful years of marriage. She was also predeceased by her sister, Mary Hnetila on September 6, 2014.

Dear Sharon & Debbie,

I came across your mothers obituary today and just wanted to say how sorry I am find out about her passing.

Your mother was a wonderful woman who was always helpful to my two aunts Ann Polchlopek and Olga Horbul.

I have a lot of fond memories of her over the years.

Condolences to Debbie and Sharon and families on the loss of Mrs. Levinsky. The Levinsky's were wonderful "across the fence" neighbors. Mrs. Levinsky was a kind gentle lady. Again, my sympathies.
