Denise A. Brown

1955 - 2013 ADAMS Denise A. Brown, 57, of 18 High St., died Wednesday, June 19, 2013, at her home surrounded by her loving family.

Born in North Adams on Nov. 14, 1955, she was the daughter of the late Robert and Elsie Osmond Field. She attended Williamstown schools and graduated from Mount Greylock Regional High School with the class of 1973.

Her first place of employment was for the Sweet Brook Care Center in Williamstown for 12 years as a Nurses Aide, after which she became employed with MCLA in North Adams as a Maintainer, and then also for BCC in Pittsfield as a Supervisor Maintainer.

She was a member and past president for the Union AFSCME Council 93. Her favorite pasttime was spending time with her grandchildren.

She is survived by her husband, Michael Brown, whom she married on March 30, 1990; a son, Chad Richardson and his wife, April, of North Adams; a daughter, Michelle Richardson of Bennington, Vt.; three brothers, Robert Field of Benson, Vt., Allan Field and his wife, Carol, of North Adams, and David Field and his wife, Barbara, of St. Petersburg, Fla.; a sister, Patricia Acosta and her husband, Reimundo, of North Adams; three grandchildren, Brandon Allen, Karissa Mancini, and Celeste Mancini, and several nieces and nephews.

FUNERAL NOTICE: Services and burial in Eastlawn Cemetery in Williamstown will be private and at the convenience of the family. There are no calling hours.

Donations in her memory can be made to the VNA and Hospice of Northern Berkshire in care of the TROTTIER PRINGLE FUNERAL HOME, 6 Summer St., Adams, which is in charge of arrangements.
