Emily A. Sadlowski 1922-2012 ADAMS Mrs. Emily A. (Szukala) Sadlowski, 89, formerly of 9 Simon Ave. Adams, died Thursday evening, March 29, 2012, at Sweet Brook Care Center in Williamstown. She was born in Adams on June 13, 1922, a daughter of the late John and Mary Zeman Szukala, and attended Adams schools. Mrs. Sadlowski worked as a cloth inspector for many years at the former Arnold Print Works in Adams, until her retirement. Earlier, she had worked for several years at the former Berkshire Fine Spinning Co. in Adams. She had been a communicant of St. Stanislaus Kostka Church, Adams. She enjoyed crocheting, cooking for her family, and traveling. Her husband, Joseph E. Sadlowski, whom she married on June 29, 1946, died on June 22, 2005. She is survived by two sons, Gary Sadlowski and his wife, Denise; and James Sadlowski and his wife, Michele Marquis, both of Adams; four four Grandchildren, Michelle Blair and her husband, Matthew, of Pittsfield; Scott Sadlowski of Adams; Corinne Sadlowski of Burlington, Vt., and Evan Sadlowski of Adams; one Sister; Valerie Milos of Adams; and many nieces, nephews, grandnieces and grandnephews. She was predeceased by three sisters; Jean Valendzik, Blanche Tenczar and Helen Zepka; and by two brothers, Stanley and Edward Szukala. FUNERAL NOTICE: The funeral will be held on Tuesday, April 3, at 9 a.m. from the PACIOREK FUNERAL HOME, 13 Hoosac St., Adams, followed by a Liturgy of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. in St. Stanislaus Kostka Church, Adams, celebrated by Rev. Daniel J. Boyle, Pastor of the Parish of Pope John Paul the Great. Burial will follow in St. Stanislaus Kostka Cemetery, Adams. Calling hours are Monday from 5 to 7 p.m. at the funeral home.
