Dear Mrs. Donovan and Family,
I was so sorry to just hear about the passing of Dr. Donovan. My thoughts and prayers are with you this Christmas Season. Dr. Donovan was a warm, kind and compassionate man, and a great engineering professor! He was beloved by his students at the University of Hartford and had a great impact on my life... be it switching to a major in Electrical Engineering, or spending the first 19 (of 23) years of my UTC career at Hamilton Sundstrand (starting in 1985) as an Engineering Manager. But most importantly, was his absolute love for all things Irish (I'm Greek and my wife is Irish) and his adoration for Schumann's "Traumerai" - Childhood Dreams, which I learned and performed in his honor at my concert in 1994! Whenever, I hear or play that encore piece I have and will always think of this learned and wonderful man with the twinkle in his eyes and say a little prayer for him and each of you. May God truly bless you at this time of sorrow. With much love,

Dearest Buddy and family,
With great sorrow I have learned of the 'doc's passing. What can I say...he gave me my job, when I was a temp at Hamilton. I met my husband there, because of that kindness. He was a sweet, and sometimes very meloncholy fellow, but I guess our "irishness" kept us on the same wave length!! He handled all that was given him at that job, with dignity! I wish I could have shared with him, my trip to Ireland late this past Sept. It was such a spiritual trip for me, it changed my life.
He was so proud of all his children growing up, he spoke of his family so so often.
Joe and I pray for God's mercy, and that you all keep the good memories, in your hearts forever.
Blessings,
Judy

Dear Carol and Val,
I was so sorry to hear about the passing of your father. I have many fond memories of the kindness he showed me growing up and the way he included me as "just another kid" in the family. My thoughts and prayers are with you and your family. Give Mom a hug for me.

Mrs. Donovan and family - I was so very sorry to hear of the loss of Mr. Donovan. I have very fond memories of him when I would visit my aunt & uncle (the Nogas). He was a very kind, wonderful man and one of my fondest memories is listening to the stories of the Christmas tree tradition he had with his family. May all your wonderful memories help you through this most difficult time. In my thoughts & prayers.

Dear Buddy,
So often I've thought back to our days in Windsor fondly and remember the days in Pilgrim Village. I especially remember you chasing the twins around the yard. After we left, Irene Wilson kept me apprised of the happenings in the Village. Those were such happy days. I remember all of you so fondly. Dick's passing was a shock. My thoughts and prayers are with you.

Mrs. "D", Tommy, Buddy K, Val & Carol,
Our heartfelt wishes are with all of you. There are a lifetime of fond memories to share. Whether in the backyard pool or at a "feast" at the beach, your Dad always had a big smile and hardy welcome for all. I'll also remember those times you couldn't come out to play because your Dad had you weeding the garden! :-) Let us rejoice that Dick and Reed will be at peace together in God's loving embrace.
Love,
Sue, Anita & Maurice Lambert

Buddy
My deepest sympahty to all of you for your loss. We had a lot of good card games and lots of good times back in the "Village" during the late 60's and 70's. We always felt good about the gatherings we had with Dick. He will not be forgotten.
