Max Cebulla Obituary

CUT BANK, Mont. -- Max Ronald Cebulla, 82, of Cut Bank, Montana, passed away Saturday, Dec. 29, 2018, at Spectrum Health Big Rapids Hospital.

He was born July 21, 1936, in Havre, Montana. During the end of the Korean Conflict, Max served with the U.S. Army as an air traffic controller. Following his discharge, he returned to Montana, and in 1960, he married Zita Nassett. He and Zita operated Maxie's Restaurant in Cut Bank.

Upon the death of his wife on July 21, 2018, Max moved to Big Rapids to be near family.

Surviving are three children, Max Clay (Lynette) Cebulla, of Norton Shores, Aimee (Gary) Senior, of Beatty, Nevada, and Darin (Marcia) Cebulla, of Reed City; eight grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; two brothers, Charles (Kay) and Tim (Judy) Cebulla; two sisters, Vicki (Charles) Bigelow and Deb (Jim) Dekaye; a brother-in-law, Vernon Anderson; and many nieces and nephews.

Max was preceded in death by his sister, Gail Anderson.

A celebration of Max's life will take place next summer. Memorial contributions in his name may be made for the Alzheimer's Association. Care and arrangements are entrusted to the Mohnke Funeral Home in Big Rapids. Share a memory or express condolences at mohnkefuneralhome.com.
