Levi Loyning Obituary

KALISPELL - Levi Lee Loyning was born Nov. 16, 1976, in Forsyth, to the parents of Geary and Debbie Loyning. Levi passed away at his home in Kalispell on Feb. 21, 2006.
Levi was raised in Colstrip, along with his three brothers, Shawn, Paul and Travis Loyning. Levi graduated from Colstrip High School in 1995. Levi loved to fish and hunt with his brothers. They shared so many happy times. Levi had amazing artistic talents, a strong love for nature, and loved to learn about history. He always admired his high school history teacher, Mr. Russ Davidson, and the ability he had to make history so interesting.
Levi met and married the love of his life, LeeAnn Barlow of Kalispell. Together, they raised a very special stepson, Michael, and a very special stepdaughter, Krista. A very special little granddaughter, Kayleigh Taylor, was born March 7, 2005. Levi enjoyed being with her and "joked" about being a grandpa! Levi also enjoyed spending time with his "favorite" niece, Halle Cassandra Loyning of Boise, Idaho.
Levi is survived by his wife, LeeAnn; stepson Michael; stepdaughter Krista and granddaughter Kayleigh; and a very special mother- and father-in-law, Jerry and Sally Barlow, all of Kalispell; parents Debbie Loyning, Colstrip, and Geary Loyning, Boise; brothers Shawn, Paul and Travis Loyning; Grandma Grace Asay, Frannie, Wyo.; grandparents George and Bonnie Loyning, Powell, Wyo.; many aunts, uncles and cousins; a special aunt and uncle, Toni and Russ Renner, and their daughters Kassi and Kourtney, Meeteetse, Wyo.
Levi was preceded in death by his grandpa, Jay Asay; and aunt, Tina Lee Asay.
To my dear little Levi Lee "Blue Jeans." We love you so very much and we will miss you so deeply. You brought so much joy and happiness into our lives. May you rest in peace. - Love, Mom.
Services will be held at Buffalo Hills Funeral Home in Kalispell, on Feb. 25, at 3 p.m. Services will be held at a later date in Deaver, Wyo.

"The Loyning Boy's". Growing up that is how all the boy's were refered to by my family. My parents were good friends with Geary & Debbie and we spent a few summer vacations in Colstrip. Levi will be greatly missed. My heart goes out to the family during this difficult time.

To Levi and his family. My deepest sympathies to you. I grew up with Levi - we were buddies. We played football together and he made up the name Moose for me in school. I remember he drew a picture of a Moose my senior year in our school newspaper that had long eye lashes and was holding a football...I had no idea about it until I saw a picture of this hairy animal and my name plastered all over it. He was a great person and a true friend. Take Care. Amy

I would like to add a funny story about Levi. In 2nd grade Levi started a food fight that caused our entire class to serve lunch time recess detention for one week. Levi was sitting straight across from me at the table and flung some peas or corn at me with his spoon so I flung some back at him, then the guys next to us started in and before we knew it there ketchup and mustard being squirted and food was flying all over the lunch room. I will always remember that, it just makes me laugh everytime I think of it.
