Mark Siirtola Obituary
June 20, 1962 - July 2, 2025
BISMARCK - Mark Francis Siirtola, 63, of Bismarck died unexpectedly on July 2, 2025.
Graveside services will be held at 3 p.m., Saturday, July 12, at Ahola Cemetery in rural Wing, N.D., with Rev. Trisha DeBoer officiating.
Mark was born in Fargo, N.S., on June 20, 1962. He was raised in Spencer, Iowa, where he attended school and excelled in mischief and wrestling. After graduating from high school in 1981, he attended the University of Northern Iowa majoring in graphic arts.
Mark's career ranged from working in the printing industry to recently retiring from a position in retail.
Mark had a passion for the great outdoors, especially hunting, fishing, and riding his Harley. Mark's kindness is exemplified by his being an organ donor.
Mark is survived by his sister, Susan Prosser (Patrick); niece, Lora Prosser; aunt, Donna Clark; uncle, Robert Moore (Joyce); stepmother, Clara Siirtola and many, many friends and cousins who were most important in Mark's life.
Mark was preceded in death by his parents, Francis and Lora Siirtola; brother, Jeffrey Siirtola; grandparents, Don and Margret Moore; grandparents, Heimo and Aino Siirtola, and his beloved English Bulldogs, Spike and Gertie.
After the services, guests are invited to join Mark's family at the Wing Senior Center to celebrate and share memories of Mark's life.
