Mark Lockman

1960 - 2022

Mark Lockman, 61, of Polk passed away on Monday morning, March 21, 2022, at Salem Memorial District Hospital in Salem. Mark was born on Aug. 3, 1960, in Atlanta, Georgia, to Joseph and Virginia Lockman.
Mark met and began a life of love with Linda Brown on Sept. 18, 1993. He married Linda Brown Lockman on Sept. 18, 1996. They have been married for 25 and a half years, making a total of 28 and a half years together.
Mark worked for Bill Grant Ford in Bolivar for 20 years. He loved his yellow Mustang with the Boss 302 kit. He also liked to drive fast. Mark and Linda enjoyed working at local racetracks through the years, which included Urbana, Bolivar, 1-44 Speedway in Lebanon and Wheatland Raceway. He enjoyed raising his birds and going on trips with his wife Linda to different states and even Mexico. He also loved his guitars.
Mark was preceded in death by his mother, Virginia Lockman, his father, Joseph "J.W." Lockman; brothers, Dwayne and Llamar Lockman; and sister Cathy Lockman.
He left behind his loving wife, Linda Lockman; his two children from previous marriages, Tyler Lockman and Heather Regina Shaw; his stepchildren, Amy Stefko, Kimberly Duff and Dusty Dalton have been a big part of his life since 1993. He survived their teenage years when he entered the family. He always said he heard the "Lollipop Guild" song from the Wizard of Oz when he walked in the house for the first time, because everyone was so short. He loved all of them with all of his heart. Mark also left behind 20 grandchildren, two great-grandchildren and extended great-grandchildren, a sister Judy Lockman Pope; along with many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends all too soon. His laughter and his love for family and friends will live on as he starts his new journey in Heaven. His spirit lives in each of our hearts and will forever be with us.
Rest in peace Mark, and enjoy Heaven for you and for us until we meet you there.
Funeral services for Mark were Thursday, March 24, at Butler Funeral Home in Bolivar.
